About this Event
Energy healing can reduce anxiety, depression, pain, accelerate wound healiing, as well as repair relationships and build community. This basic energy healing workshop is derived from Healing Touch Program, Therapeutic Touch and Reiki.
FORMAT: This will be an introductory workshop with 3+ hours of informal practice in the basics of healing touch.
BYO LUNCH: Participants will become acquainted with each other and the instructor over shared lunch, which will transition into the workshop. Please bring your own lunch, herbal tea and some shared snacks will also be provided.
WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR: Maureen McCracken, RN, PMHCNS, is an Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in psychiatry and mental health and Healing Touch Practitioner. Maureen was a Certified Healing Touch Instructor for 30 years in addition to private practice of holistic psychotherapy. She is an MSN graduate of George Mason University. She has worked for Inova Fairfax, National Institutes of Mental Health and the Fairfax Falls Church Community Services Board. Maureen is married with one daughter and two grandchildren.
