Introduction to Ayurveda Workshop
Ayuh = life Veda = Science/Knowledge.
Ayurveda is the ancient holistic medical science of life. Originating in India over 5000 years ago and still in practice, Ayurveda works on balancing and bringing harmony to body, mind, and spirit through diet and lifestyle.
In this 2 hour workshop, we will explore:
Balance and imbalances based on our constitution (dosha)
Diet and lifestyle changes suitable to meet individual, environmental, and seasonal needs.
Simple food choices and herbs as medicine.
How to improve body’s vitality, immunity, and fight disease.

Harini Srinivasan
Hailing from the southern part of India, yoga and Ayurveda was part of her tradition growing up. From a very early age, Harini has practiced, experienced, and lived on the various healing paths of yoga. This led to the first teacher training in India back in 2005.
After moving to the United States in 2005 and having a family, she turned back to yoga with 200 hour teacher training in flow -based Hatha yoga. This also introduced her to the traditional methodology of yoga therapy in the lineage of Krishnamacharya.
Currently, she practices as a yoga therapist with specializations in Prenatal, Restorative and trauma informed yoga in various settings. Harini also conducts workshops and teacher training around San antonio.
She likes chanting hymns, yogas sutras and Gia . She continues to learn Indian scriptures, impoving her sanskrit skills, yoga philosophy and traditional carnatic music.
She enjoys healthy cooking, hiking, and playing games with her family.
