Speaker Dave Schroeder will provide a basic introduction to AI (artificial intelligence), explain its transformative power, and focus on its growing role in national security.
Dave Schroeder is the Director of National Security Initiatives at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dave is a subject matter expert on cyber and national security issues. He also serves as an Cyber Warfare Officer and Military Intelligence Officer in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, and previously served as a Cryptologic Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. He holds graduate degrees in Cybersecurity Policy and Information Warfare, and is graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School, Naval War College, and Joint Forces Staff College. He also serves as Research Director for the Wisconsin Security Research Consortium.
This program is brought to the Cudahy Family Library by Badger Talks, a UW-Madison campus-wide presenter’s bureau that spreads the Wisconsin Idea by engaging Wisconsin residents on topics they care about and sharing the latest discoveries of UW faculty, staff and graduate students, helping spark ideas and conversations on topics of local importance.
