About this Event

Introduction to Advice First Aid

Location: Citizens Advice Brighton and Hove, Hove Town Hall, Tisbury Rd, BN3 3BQ

This introduction to Advice First Aid is aimed at volunteers and staff working directly with service users at food banks and free/lost-cost food projects in the Brighton and Hove area. The purpose of the training is to develop attendees' skills and knowledge to help them become 'Advice First Aiders'. This means they can go back to their organisations and help service users with the problems they face. The training covers key advice areas like benefits and housing, as well as the skills of being an AFAer.

After attending this introductory training, AFAers will be able to attend free top-up sessions on certain topics, as well as networking events. Citizens Advice will also be able to visit AFAers in their organisation to discuss the best way to set up AFA for you.

Any questions, please contact [email protected]

There are 25 free spaces available, offered on a first-come-first-served basis. If you reserve a ticket and then are unable to attend, please find your confirmation email and click on 'view and manage your order online' to cancel your order so someone else can attend.
