About this Event
THURSDAYS, JUNE 18 - AUGUST 20, 2026
Time: 4:30 PM - 6 PM
Ages: 12-18yrs
Instructor: TBD
Prerequisite: None. This is an ongoing class for current students and a mandatory class for any student new to CASA 0101, regardless of previous experience.
Given the overwhelming demand, attendance for this program is mandatory, and students are kindly requested not to miss more than 2 classes. Please only register if you are sure you will be able to attend all classes. Classes are non-refundable.
Class Description: This dynamic hybrid class is designed for students who want to build confidence and versatility as performers by blending acting, vocal technique, and some singing into one engaging experience. Students will explore character development, emotional expression, and storytelling through both spoken and sung material, learning how to connect authentically to lyrics, scripts, and their own unique voice.
Pieces will be carefully selected and tailored to each young performer's interests and strengths.
Singing will be encouraged but not at all required.
Each session includes vocal warm-ups, acting exercises, and performance practice, helping students strengthen their technique while having fun and supporting one another. Emphasis is placed on healthy voice use, stage presence, and interpreting material in a way that feels natural and personal.
Whether students are new to performing or looking to expand their skills, this class encourages creativity, risk-taking, and growth in a positive, collaborative environment. Perfect for young performers interested in musical theatre, acting, public speaking, or simply finding their voice.
At the end of this Summer session, students who are in good standing will be invited to join our intermediate classes on Saturdays, which are a stepping stone to participating in our annual Jr Musical.
