About this Event

This hands-on workshop will guide you step-by-step to build a cutting board! We'll learn this fun skill and how to safety use woodshop tools

No prior experience needed for this course, all supplies and materials are provided. Partcipants will be introduced to each machine, provided operational overview, safety considerations, and have hands-on experience.

During this 4-hour workshop learn how to build your own custom hardwood cutting board. I will expertly guide you as you learn how to safely use a variety of essential wood shop tools. You will gain practical skills in milling rough lumber, edge-gluing boards, clamping, sanding, and applying a food-safe finish. We will also cut a single "weave", adding a mind-boggling detail to your boards. Willing partners can swap half their board to take the second glue-up to the next level!

By the end of the workshop, you'll proudly take home a beautiful board you made yourself.

$150 per participant, $120 for CCM members. CCM members will receive an email to the Woodshop Quiz at the end of this course. Passing this short quiz is part of the requirement for members to gain 24/7 personal woodshop access.

Please wear comfortable well-fitted clothing, close-toed shoes, put your hair up, and be prepared to get a little dirty :)

And for those looking to improve their woodworking skills...
