Intro to Welding
This course will be offered on our Niceville Campus, on Saturday mornings.
Students can choose between:
Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), commonly called MlG.
Self-shielded flux-cored (FCAW-S), commonly called flux core.
Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), commonly called stick welding.
Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), commonly called TIG welding.
Students will learn to prepare metal using oxylfuel flame cutting and grinding.
They will learn to weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions.
