The Root Cause Protocol (RCP) - by Morley Robbins - was developed in response to a widespread lack of awareness about proper mineral balance in the body. The RCP is designed to:

1) increase bioavailable COPPER in order to

2) decrease unbound IRON and

3) decrease the MAGNESIUM burn rate in order to

4) repair cellular mineral imbalance -- the ROOT CAUSE of virtually ALL health challenges.

The Root Cause Protocol (RCP) website has extensive resources to help you learn. Please review materials there to assist you with your journey within the Root Cause Protocol. www.therootcauseprotocol.com

Biography: Morley Robbins

Morley Robbins is a researcher, educator, and health advocate whose three-decade career inside the American healthcare system gave him both a front-row seat to its strengths — and an unsparing view of its blind spots. Today, as the creator of the Root Cause Protocol (RCP) and the author of Cure Your Fatigue, he has become one of the most sought-after voices in functional and nutritional health, having appeared on more than 350 podcasts worldwide.

Education & Early Career

Morley earned his undergraduate degree in biology — completing the full pre-medical curriculum — before earning a master's degree and completing all coursework toward a doctorate in hospital administration. He spent roughly a decade in hospital executive roles before transitioning into a twenty-year consulting career, including a decade with the avant-garde firm McManus Associates, where a former Navy test pilot and Kennedy White House advisor set the tone for bold, data-driven thinking. He also served as a graduate resident with what was then the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare (now HHS), gaining early exposure to federal health policy at the highest level.

Career in Hospital Administration & Consulting

Over thirty-plus years, Morley rose from Director of Planning at Arlington Memorial Hospital — where he worked directly with the CEO and cultivated a passion for turning complex healthcare data into actionable insights — to senior consulting roles serving hospital systems as large as 52 facilities. His most consequential consulting projects involved long-range projections of U.S. healthcare expenditures. In 1987, his team projected that American healthcare spending would surpass $3 trillion — a forecast that was roundly dismissed at the time and later proved not bold enough. A second major project in 2008 mapped healthcare demand through 2025 for three Carolinas health systems, revealing hockey-stick trajectories for nearly every disease index. It was that exercise, he has said, that convinced him he could no longer stay on the sidelines.

A Personal Turning Point

After years of travel-intensive consulting, Morley developed a debilitating frozen shoulder. A chance encounter with a chiropractic physician — now his wife, Dr. Liz — healed the condition through a single targeted treatment. Her use of the phrase "innate healer" changed the trajectory of his life. It prompted a question he could not stop asking: if the body possesses an innate healing mechanism, why do millions of doctors exist who know so little about it? That question became the engine of fifteen-plus years of independent research into mineral metabolism, oxidative stress, and the mechanisms underlying chronic disease.

The Root Cause Protocol & Magnesium Advocacy Group

Morley launched what is now the Cure Your Fatigue with Morley Robbins Facebook group — originally the Magnesium Advocacy Group — as a platform to share his emerging research. The group grew to a quarter of a million members and became the proving ground for more than 80 Iron Toxicity posts in which Morley systematically documented, with citations, the role of dysregulated iron in a wide array of chronic conditions. His central thesis — that copper deficiency and the resulting failure of the ferroxidase enzyme ceruloplasmin is the upstream driver of iron dysregulation, not iron deficiency itself — is supported by hundreds of peer-reviewed studies and stands in sharp contrast to the prevailing narrative in mainstream medicine.

The Root Cause Protocol itself distills this research into a structured set of stops and starts designed to restore the copper-iron-oxygen axis at the heart of mitochondrial energy production. The RCP Institute, now in its 22nd online training cohort, has certified more than 1,200 practitioners worldwide in the protocol's application.

Cure Your Fatigue

Written during 2020, Cure Your Fatigue distills Morley's research into an accessible framework for understanding why energy fails and how to restore it. The book has sold nearly 38,000 copies — placing it well into the top 1% of published titles by sales — and caught the attention of mainstream publisher BenBella Books. A second edition, published by BenBella, in November 2025.

Today

At 72, Morley Robbins works seven days a week — often at his desk before 5:00 a.m. — reviewing primary literature, mentoring practitioners, delivering monthly webinars, and hosting the video podcast series Cure Your Fatigue with Morley Robbins. His guests range from regenerative farmers and research scientists to clinicians who have integrated the RCP into their practices. His core message is consistent: chronic symptoms are not diseases to be managed but metabolic states to be corrected, and the body, given the right nutritional support, retains a remarkable capacity to heal itself.
