About this Event
Learn how to use a sewing machine with Kim! With even the most basic sewing skills, the projects , DIY repairs, craft, and home decor creation possibilities are endless!
In this beginners class, you will learn all the basics to get started sewing. Skills you will learn: How the sewing machine works, how to thread your machine, how to wind a bobbin, backtacking, corners, proper tension, and proper needle selection. With these basic skills, you will be well on your way to sewing up a frenzy! All materials provided for this class. We will be sewing a very simple lavender sachet in this class.
This 101 class is enough training for you to take any sewing classes here at BCAW listed as "Beginner" or "Intermediate"
**PLEASE NOTE** due to difficulty with students bringing their own machines, and getting them working properly for a group class, this Intro to Sewing Class is now ONLY offered with 6 of the same Singer Heavy Duty sewing machines, provided by instructor.
If you have your own machine and would like to learn how to use it, please get in touch with Kim about setting up a private "meet your machine" lesson.
