Come on down to read your work, tell your jokes, bear your soul, all while accompanied by the coolest backing band since the invention of Ray-Bans. Open mic list is up at 8pm, show to kick off ~9 ; slots for first and second half, alongside a waiting list. Don't see room on the list? Talk to Nark and they'll see what they can do. Slots are 1-2 poems, 1 song, or approximately 6 minutes. Let the houseband know if you need their support ✨️
Gia rose is a poet, lyricist, and singer of strange measure. Her poetry style can best be described as enigmatic and eccentric; touching on topics of life, death, love, and mystery.
Recently, her first chapbook “ Beats & Brutes”, was published by Bottle Cap Press. She’s also the singer/lyricist for the psychedelic rock band The Azures and incorporates poetry into the band’s live performances.
With her innate obscurity she aims to free people from the limited ways they perceive and feel. She believes poetry opens the gates of perception to a whole new bountiful realm
