Creative Constructive Thinking for Beginners
Ready to think like a sewist? Join us for an in-person workshop where you'll draft and prototype your first tote bag, explore beginner sewing challenges, and learn how to plan and problem-solve your own projects. No experience needed, just bring curiosity and creativity! Let's sew, think, and have fun together in a supportive, hands-on environment.
This workshop is intentionally small to ensure every student receives individual guidance.

Design Challenge: Prototype Your Tote
Info: Participants jump right in by creating a quick tote bag prototype from paper. This activity encourages creativity and reveals common beginner sewing challenges.

Intro to Creative Construction Thinking Presentation
Info: A short lesson on sewing design thinking. We’ll discuss seam allowances, raw edge management, durability, strap placement, and how to plan projects before sewing.

Build the Real Tote Bag
Info: Using what they’ve learned, participants will refine their ideas and construct a functional tote bag using improved techniques and thoughtful construction.
