Have you heard about the Raspberry PI? It is a credit card sized computer that debuted in 2012 for $35. Thirteen years and millions sold later, the Raspberry Pi is the most popular single board computer in the world. This one-hour introduction will cover the history, various models, and uses. Ron will discuss the parts and pieces you may already have at home to set up a fully functional desktop computer that you can use for browsing, e-mail, office applications, programming, gaming. In addition to the full sized Raspberry Pi, he will discuss its smaller cousins, Pico and Zero.
Ron Meeuf is a retired System Administrator who has been working with computers since 1986, helping business to leverage computers to be more efficient. Ron bought his first Raspberry PI in 2013 and has used them in the business he worked for as well as for pleasure. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping others to have fun computing.
