Join us at Unity Community Centre for a 6-week Basics of Pottery class!
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
Introduction to Pottery: Learn about basic pottery tools, materials, equipment and safety procedures.
Hand-Building Techniques: Introduction to basic hand-building techniques to create pottery without a wheel.
Introduction to the Pottery Wheel: Learn to center clay and create basic forms using the wheel.
Trimming and Glazing: Learn how to trim, decorate and glaze your pottery pieces.
Kiln Firing: Learn about the firing process and bring home a few personally made items.

COST
The number of items will vary depending on the learner, we’re estimating that you’ll be able to take home 3-5 items.
Price includes one bag of clay and 1 free admission to a weekly Pottery Club session held on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Registration Fee($345)
Refunds & Cancellation Policy
$80 of the fee is non-refundable, due to administrative costs.
If a request for a refund is made 21 days (or more) before the course begins, the program fee minus $80 will be provided.
Cancellations
If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the instructor, facilities or low enrolment, a 100% refund will be granted to registered participants.
Cancellations due to weather
In-person classes will only be cancelled if weather conditions are quite serious.
If a class is cancelled due to weather, the course will be moved to the following week (unless otherwise specified).
