Intro to Pickleball (New Players only)

This class will provide a safe place for those who have never played pickleball before, or who are very inexperienced. It will focus on teaching basic terminology and techniques, teaching you the fundamentals of the game so you can feel comfortable playing at other venues.

Participants will be expected to use the equipment provided (i.e., no need to bring your own).

Recommended Attire: Comfortable shoes/ sneakers + comfortable clothing.

NOTE: If you are experienced, we kindly ask you to refrain from registering to ensure there is enough space to accommodate those park guests who are interested in beginning to learn about Pickleball. Experienced players will be asked to withdraw from the class.

Know Before You Go:

• Free parking is located around the site— along Blvd of the Arts and Van Wezel Way, and in front of the Van Wezel, Municipal Auditorium and Blue Pagoda. Please avoid parking in designated Sarasota Orchestra parking areas.
• All pets must be non-aggressive and on a leash at all times. Owners are expected to pick up after their pets.
• Please report any risky or unsafe behavior to the Sarasota Non-Emergency Police 24 hours a day (941) 316-1199.
