master your digital camera.
About this Event
Join photographer and instructor, Eric Beliveau, for this 3-part, in-person intro to photography workshop. We aim to provide you with a solid understanding of how to work with your camera to create the pictures you want. By the end of the class, you will be comfortable controlling shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. You will have to practice manipulating these for the effects you want so that you end up with a thorough understanding of the many creative possibilities available to you.
We not only cover the technical abilities needed in a camera but also add the thought process of composition. There will be presentations broken up by low-pressure opportunities to practice the principles you’ve learned. As well as the in-depth discussion of the mechanics of exposure, we will discuss camera care, lenses, accessories, auto and manual focus, white balance, and software.
This will be a 3-part class:
- Saturday, June 6th, 10am to 2pm
- Saturday, June 13th, 10am to 2pm
- Saturday, June 20th, 10am to 2pm
PREREQUISITES: None, as long as you have a camera with interchangeable lenses and manual controls. It is a good idea to peruse the manual for your camera before class.
BRING TO THE CLASS:
