Join City Green Farmers, Henry and Isabel, for a workshop all about permaculture & food forests! Permaculture, or “permanent agriculture,” is a way of planting that mimics how plants would naturally grow and be organized, allowing the plants’ ecosystem to sustain itself. This workshop includes an in-depth tour of City Green’s permaculture hill, followed by an overview of best practices, plant selection, and tips on how to incorporate permaculture into your own garden.You’ll learn:
- A brief overview of permaculture design/regenerative landscaping
- How to use swale and berm beds
- Sheet mulching
- Food forest planting design
- Recommended plants for permaculture
- How to establish and care for mushrooms
Tickets: $15 per participant. Participants must be over the age of 16.
Tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, and would like to transfer it to another person, please contact [email protected]. All unused tickets will be considered a donation.
Registration for in-person workshops will close at 12pm the day before the workshop.
