About this Event
Join us for an in depth, 4-hour long class covering the basics of needle felting as well as an artist talk by Eliza Jorgenson. When you sign up for this course, you will choose one of two designs to make. You will finish the course with the small sculpture you create.
The beginning of the class will be a presentation about the basics of felting as well as how it pertains to Norwegian folk art. Eliza Jorgenson will share her artistic practice and speak on how contemporary art differs from craft.
Each person will receive their own tools and materials. Register for the needle felted sculpture that you want to make. The dimension are as follows:
Dimensions of the Horse (HxWxD): 5" x 6" x 2"
Dimensions of the Ship: 3" x 7" x 2"
Please be mindful that felting requires a lot of patience and fine motor skills. Needles are involved and as a result, you will most likely get poked a few times. Due to these reasons, please consider before you register a child under 15.
Important note: Norway House does not issue refunds. Be sure you can attend at the time and date of this class.
