ABOUT TEACHER CAROLINE THOMPSON:
Caroline moved to the Adirondacks 45 years ago, to live a lifelong dream of having a small farm of sheep and goats, then later llamas. The farm in Westport satisfied her curiosity of following the origins of textiles from sheep to sewing.
Textiles and dance have always been an interest. She majored in Fine Arts at SUNY Cortland. She expanded her knowledge after moving back to Westchester working in a Textile Arts Store and workshop.
Learning to knit at the age of 7, she later worked at The Niddy Noddy developing patterns for publication. She has taught all forms of different textile techniques including here at the Social Center.
