INTRO TO IMPROV 2 WITH TOM HILL - LET'S MAKE THIS INTERESTING
FIVE WEEKS. TWO SHOWS. $420.
PRE-REQUISITE: Intro to Improv 1 or equivalent experience.
Sundays, September 20 - October 18
6:00-9:30pm PST
Location: 120 Princess Ave
In this course you will explore the keys to making an improv show and improv scene compelling to watch. You will learn how to create dynamic characters, leverage your character’s status, and play with sincerity. You’ll learn the importance of variety and commitment in your offers, and the value of letting a scene breath. No better way to practice being dynamic than in front of an audience with two performances!
By the time you finish Intro to Improv 2, you will be ready to move onto Advanced Scenes 1 with confidence in your ability to work with your scene partner to create a full, quality scene, and an ability to commit wholeheartedly to your character.
Please note:
- This class is for folks ages 18+
- This class has a pre-requisite of Intro to Improv 1 or equivalent experience
Venue Accessibility - The venue is accessible from the street level with no steps up – the main door has a significant lip, but the side door (which will be unlocked for classes) is level to the sidewalk. Click here for more info!
Show Day Information - Wondering when your shows are? 95% of BTC shows are on Wednesday nights at 7PM or 9PM. Your exact show schedule will be sent out the week of your first class!
Refunds & Cancellations – a 100% refund is available up to two weeks before your class begins. Within two weeks of the class start, registration is non-refundable.
