Intro to Green Capitalism - Science for the People Chicago
Science for the People is committed to bridging the gap between science and the everyday person. We want to use science to create real action and tackle real issues. Take science out of the academic ether and apply it to real life.
Our first initiative is to tackle green capitalism. But to address it, we need to understand it first - what it is and what it isn't. Join us at Pilsen Community Books for an hour to swim through all the jargon. We'll define terms like carbon credit and answer the big questions of are we on the right track to avoid climate disaster and how can capitalism be sustainable?
Green capitalists and their economist friends want you to think that yes, under their models, we can have our cake and eat it too. Join our little intro session and you can decide for yourself!
