This hands-on course is intended to enhance the skill levels of practitioners and students by outlining the foundations of Kampo herbal prescribing in Japan.
Over two days, both didactic and hands-on approaches will teach participants techniques and interpretations of abdominal findings to more accurately prescribe herbal formulas based on both constitutional assessment and palpation. By starting with history and demonstrating abdominal diagnosis techniques, participants will learn a systematic abdominal assessment for locating specific areas that relate to herbal formula families. Discussion and interpretation of this process will include how to identify findings and utilize them in practical ways in the clinic.
