About this Event
A relaxed and creative introduction to freeform crochet, moving beyond patterns into a more intuitive way of making.
We’ll begin by learning a few foundational crochet stitches, creating a gentle grounding in technique, giving you the confidence to flow. From there, we’ll shift into a more intuitive, freeform approach, using these stitches as a starting point to experiment, combine textures, and play.
Working with yarn, and with the option to incorporate found objects such as sticks and rings, we’ll explore texture, shape, composition, and the relationships between materials. By tuning into the rhythm of your stitches, something expressive and uniquely yours can emerge.
This workshop offers a chance to follow your intuition and discover how crochet can become a more personal, creative process. A space to play, be curious, and see what happens when a structured technique meets a spontaneous approach.
Open to beginners as well as those with some experience who’d like to loosen up their practice and try something new.
All materials, plus herbal tea and biccies, are provided - just bring yourself and an open mind!
Please do book early where possible!
Booking early helps independent facilitators like me to organise events in a cost and energy-efficient manner, which gives us more time and headspace to make the workshops fantastic for you.
