9am start with the conversational part of the clinic. Host, Frank Langholf, will talk about fitness, readiness and best practices for getting yourself and your horse into Endurance riding. We would appreciate if everyone brings their own chair as we will set up around our trailers/horses. The discussion will be followed by a 5-6 mile ride, rain or shine!
Horses must be willing to cross water safely.
THIS EVENT IS FOR THOSE COMFORTABLE AT A TROT, CANTER PACE in a group setting! Please note that this is not a walk ride and we except both horse and riders to be safe and respectful of others. This is NOT a clinic/ride for those who have very green horses.
At the end of the mock ride, we will go through a mock vetting and tips will be given to riders on what to improve for a better vetting score.
Helmets will be required for those coming along on the ride part. They are not usually required with our group but we’re mocking it all towards LD riding.
About your host:
Frank began riding as an adult in 2003, and later began to participate in endurance riding in 2010. He purchased Sierra in 2012, and began competing together from 2013 to 2022.
Frank brings his knowledge and experience for us to all benefit from. We’re happy to have him as a group member and thankful he agreed to help with this event.
Cost of the event is $10 per person and required to save your spot.
You are welcome to come to just audit too and skip the ride.
