Summary: In this class, each student will learn the basics of electronics by building their own fuzz pedal.
Description: This course will cover the following topics:
-Overview of circuit components
-Reading a circuit diagram
-Soldering and desoldering
-Using a multimeter
-Tuning the circuit
This class will walk through the entire process of populating a circuit board and installing it into a guitar pedal enclosure. By the end of the class, each student will complete a working fuzz pedal.
About the Instructor :
Vera Harless is a local musician, amateur woodworker, and an endless tinkerer. She first learned electrical engineering concepts in college and has been designing and building circuits ever since. She’s especially interested in the intersection of electronics and music.

Q: What is the dress code?
A: Closed toed shoes, as well as long cotton pants and shirts are a must. For your own safety, no synthetic fabrics please. Gloves and eye protection will be provided.
Q: When do ticket sales end?
A: Ticket sales end two days before the event begins.
Q: How many people can sign up?
A: Each class has a maximum of 8 people.
Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: Students must be above the age of 11, Students under 18 will either need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian or will require additional permission paperwork.

Q: Is my registration/ticket transferable?
A: Yes, please notify us before ticket sales end about any transfer of purchase.
Q: What is the refund policy?
A: We will refund any ticket requested for any reason up to a week before the course runs, after that point we can only give credit to a future course. If the class cannot run as scheduled, for whatever reason, purchaser will have the option of a full refund or credit towards the makeup course.
