Intro to CNC Woodworking — Design & Carve Your First Project (Los Angeles)

Ever wanted to design something on a computer—and watch a machine carve it out of wood?

This beginner-friendly class is your introduction to CNC woodworking, where creativity meets precision. No experience needed.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll get a clear, practical introduction to:

• CNC routers and how they work
• Simple design software (easy to learn, no background required)
• How to turn your idea into a cut-ready file
• Material setup, safety, and workflow

This is where it gets fun.

After a short intro, you’ll:

• Design your own custom piece using beginner-friendly software
• Set up your file for the CNC machine
• Watch as the CNC router precisely cuts your design
• Finish and take home your completed project

You’ll go from concept → design → machine → finished object in one session.

CNC tools let you create things that would be difficult (or impossible) by hand:

• Clean, precise cuts
• Repeatable designs
• Complex shapes made simple

It’s one of the fastest ways to level up your woodworking.

We provide laptops, but if you'd like to load the software on, and work from your own exclusive laptop, you're welcome to do so.
