Intro to Botanical Watercolor — Beautiful Peonies

Join us on May 17, from 5-7 pm at Matriarch in Newport, RI, for a relaxing, fun, beginner- friendly botanical watercolor class where you'll learn to paint realistic peonies step by step with help from Margareta, the artist of StudioReta.
Together, we’ll explore:
- Mixing luminous peony pinks, corals, creams, and soft greens
- Basic watercolor tips and tricks to build confidence
- How to layer petals and leaves for realistic depth and softness
- Brush control and blending.
- Completing your own 5×7 inch peony artwork to take home
- The goal at the end of the class is to understand how watercolor works and how it builds up a painting. All materials are provided.
