About this Event
Curious about block printing? This fun, introductory class will guide you through every step in the process- from sketching your design, to transferring it to the block, to carving techniques and the printing process. No prior experience is required—just bring your love for the natural world and a desire to create unique, nature-inspired prints. By the end of the course, you'll have starter tools, a custom-made stamp, and the skills to continue making your own lino cut patterns at home.
Included in ticket price: One Speedball Block Printing Starter Set (block, lino cutter, ink and brayer) that you can take home.
Class will start promptly at 10:00am. Please arrive between 9:45-9:55 to get settled in. Cafe Josephine, located inside the Randall Museum, opens at 9:30am.

Naturalist, artist and Randall Museum Instructor Sarah Bowser will introduce you to some of the resident reptiles and native plants of the Museum. From the delicate curves of leaves, to the patterns of a turtle shell, to the textures found in reptile scales, you’ll learn how to translate these natural elements into unique stamp designs.
