Intro to Dryland Mushing – Join Us!Curious about dryland mushing? Come give it a try in a fun, beginner-friendly session designed to get you and your dog moving. Alternatively for experienced riders, come out for just the group run if you’d like!
We’ll cover the basics of dryland mushing, including how to safely run your dog using proper techniques and equipment. Whether you're brand new or just looking to learn more, this is a great opportunity to get started.
Harnesses, lines, and bikes available to borrow during the session (please let us know what you need at least a day in advance)
Lines will also be available for purchase if you’d like your own setup.
What to bring to: (if you have them)
-Your dog, any breed as long as they’re healthy and can do some running
-A bike with working breaks
-Harness and 1–2 dog lines
- $5 donation fee if able, proceeds go to the Twin Cities Dog Powered Sports Club. Venmo, PayPal, cash, or check.
No prior experience needed—experienced mushers and rookies are all welcome! Experienced mushers and dogs are welcome to skip the intro if desired.
Schedule:
Intro & set up: 8:00–8:30
Running starts: 8:30
We’ll have both a 1-mile loop and a 3-mile loop available.
Meet at the group camping parking lot, it’s the second left once you enter the park! 8am is when the Intro to Bikejoring and Dryland is, and any harness/gear fitting. 8:30 starts the group run.
Come out, learn something new, and have a great time with your dog!
