New to acrylic painting? This three-class workshop is a fun and friendly, step-by-step introduction designed for adults with little or no experience. You’ll learn essential skills, get comfortable with materials, and build confidence as you create.
What You’ll Learn
Across three focused 2.5-hour sessions, we’ll cover:
- How acrylic paint works
- Brush handling & care: Why are there so many brushes? How many do you need?
- Basic blending techniques: Simple, approachable methods suited to acrylic paint
- How to create light, shadow, and depth: With just paint and brushes? Yes!
- Color mixing: Why are there so many colors?? How many do you need?
Final Project
In the final class, we’ll bring everything together by completing a small guided painting, step-by-step. You’ll apply what you’ve learned while still having room for personal expression!
