Intro to Wine 101 is a structured introductory wine class designed to explain how wine works in a clear, approachable, and engaging way. The focus is educational, while remaining welcoming and supportive for those new to formal wine learning.

Led by Suzanne Bonham, the class explores essential foundations of wine, including grape varieties, regions, winemaking style, and service considerations. You will learn why wines taste the way they do and how structure influences style and quality.

Guided tasting practice is used throughout the session to illustrate key concepts. You will practice identifying characteristics such as acidity, sweetness, body, and tannin, building skills that allow you to describe what you taste with greater clarity and confidence.

This class is designed to move you beyond guessing and toward understanding. By the end of Wine 101, you will have a stronger grasp of wine fundamentals and the confidence to make informed choices at home, in restaurants, or when selecting wine for others.
