At the height of Intonal’s passage, the Black Box opens its mouth again.
Inside, the cube becomes pressure. Light reduced to pulse. Air thick with low-end. No outside, no elsewhere — only immersion.
This year, the room bends around Against All Logic — aka Nicolás Jaar. A rare appearance under his A.A.L. moniker, where club music is stretched, compressed, and quietly destabilised. Alongside him, mad miran sharpens atmosphere into impact.
Downstairs: architecture through rhythm.
Upstairs: velocity and bass weight, with DJ LU and N.E.GIRL driving the charge via Drum n Bass and braindance.

Against All Logic (Nicolás Jaar)
For over a decade, Against All Logic has run parallel to Nicolás Jaar’s broader body of work — a space where house and techno are not genres but raw material.
Grooves emerge in layers. Samples surface from personal and political archives. Textures loop until they feel structural. Albums like 2012–2017 and 2017–2019 move with memory and repetition — dance music with its seams exposed.
At Intonal, Jaar steps into the Black Box for a rare DJ set as A.A.L. Expect rhythmic depth and sonic excavation. Drawn-out transitions. Energy modulated slowly, deliberately.

Shaped by Amsterdam’s underground and sharpened across Rotterdam and Barcelona, mad miran works with sensation first, genre second.
Breakbeats, electro, IDM, percussive fragments — assembled in real time. Pressure builds gradually, then pivots. The low end carries weight; the highs cut clean. Her pacing feels instinctive but exact.

DJ LU
Also known as Lucid Fox, the Polish selector draws from heavier IDM and braindance terrain — broken beats, intricate programming, elastic basslines that stay physical despite their complexity. Metallic textures scrape against submerged lows. Momentum is shaped patiently, detail by detail.
N.E.GIRL
Nairobi-born, South London-raised, N.E.GIRL channels sound system energy with tight control. Fast transitions. Chopped vocals. Sub bass that lands with weight. Breakbeats slicing into half-time drops without hesitation.
