CAMP Rehoboth is proud to host the INTO LIGHT Project, a national nonprofit that uses art and storytelling to change how people see drug addiction. The project features original, hand-drawn portraits and personal stories of individuals who died from addiction. Each portrait honors a life lost and helps shine light on the human side of a disease that is often misunderstood. Now in its third year, INTO LIGHT Delaware has adopted the theme “Drug Addiction: Real People, Real Stories.” Join us for the opening reception on Friday, Oct. 10, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to view and learn about this exhibit. Catering will be provided by Ole Fish Sole, and Devin Canfield will soundtrack the evening.
This powerful exhibition includes 45 framed graphite portraits of Delaware residents who died from drug addiction. Each is paired with a written narrative that tells their story — not just about how they died, but how they lived.
This exhibition includes portraits by artists Theresa Clower, Shawn Faust, Jeremy Hebbel, Maia Palmer, and Cecil Norris.
