INTL JAZZ PLATFORM OSLO EDITION? Almost three weeks ago, we finished the 9th Polish edition of Intl Jazz Platform – 5 days of workshops, concerts, panel discussions and meetings with musicians and professionals all over Europe. In the current world situation, we feel an even bigger need to keep going and provide young artists with an environment in which they can learn from each other, share ideas, gain knowledge about the sector, express their concerns and hopes and be there for each other these difficult times. Where they can feel the sense of belonging and where they can be understood and inspired, where creativity, openness to different understanding of music, respect for diversity, solidarity and freedom of expression are at the bottom of all processes.
►9 years ago Intl Jazz Platform was created as a result of cooperation with Norwegian jazz musicians and inspired by the Norwegian artistic education system. That’s why, for the first time in its history, Intl Jazz Platform goes to Norway to even further strengthen the Polish-Norwegian connection and enable the young musicians from these two countries to exchange experiences and create music together.
In partnership with Victoria Nasjonal Jazzscene and Norwegian Academy of Music, we would like to invite 10 Polish and 10 Norwegian students to take part in the Intl Jazz Platform at the beginning of October.
For 3 days these 3 amazing artists will share their ideas about music and work in bands created with 20 Norwegian and Polish students. Together they will prepare compositions for the final concert that will take place on the last evening of Intl Jazz Platform in Oslo on October 6th at Nasjonale Jazz Scene. Moreover, students will take part in the special workshops dedicated to the international development of their careers prepared in cooperation with Victoria Nasjonal Jazzscene, Norwegian Academy of Music and Music Norway.

, Eyolf Dale, pianist and composer, who has successfully carved a path as one of the most important emerging Norwegian artists to develop an international profile in recent years as well as Thomas Stronen, drummer and composer, one of the most talented and ground-breaking musicians performing today.

Intl Jazz Platform is an international educational scheme , which is a response to the needs of young artists who are looking for creative faculty, inspiring working environment and would like to gain knowledge about the international music markets and developing a network of international contacts. Programme of Intl Jazz Platform Footprints edition includes workshops conducted by prominent musicians of the European jazz scene, as well as seminars run by representatives of the music industry.
