About this Event
A MESSAGE FROM INTHEWHALE:
Hey guys. After 15 years, this project known as INTHEWHALE has reached it's end. The two of us have felt this way for a while and it's time to pull the trigger.
There was no big dramatic blowout and we certainly don't hate each other. We've just come to the next phase of our lives and it's time to let go. We've thought about calling it an "extended hiatus," but honestly that isn't our style.
We owe many thanks to many people...
Thanks to our manager Shabba, for sticking around all these years when we all knew he had bigger fish to fry. Throughout the years, he talked us off ledges, constantly went to bat for us, and has been a true friend to us.
Thanks to anyone who let us sleep on their floor, futon, couch, in their guest room, or in their RV. You allowed the band to keep going.
Thanks to anyone who ever bought our merchandise, showed our music to a friend or brought them to a show. There is no chance we would've made it this far without you.
Thanks to those of you with our lyrics and/our artwork inked on your body. It's still hard to believe that our music has had that big of an impact on you.
Thanks to all the bands that took us out on tour. Just about every band you saw us open for was super super cool to us. We never really experienced any rock star bulls**t from a headliner and we're very lucky in that regard.
Thanks to all the venue staff, sound engineers, photographers, and promoters that treated us fairly. All we ever wanted was to work together to make a kick-a** show and you guys understood that.
Thanks to our dear friend and brother Clay for keeping us laughing and having a great time throughout the years. Your outlook on life and infectious attitude is something they should study in schools.Special thanks to our friends that have joined us on tour: Chandler, Caleb, Kansas City Dave, Zach, Casey, Jacoby, and Mikey. You guys hopped on the train, rolled with the punches, had amazing attitudes and we had an absolute blast with every single one of you.
Thanks to our friends and family for putting up with us being gone all these years. We missed birthdays, funerals, weddings, vacations and all sorts of important stuff just to get in a stinky van, drive around and scream at people.
This is not the end of Nate and Eric. We are not friends, bandmates, or business partners. We are brothers. We will still be collaborating on music and talking s**t to each other for a long time.
We will be doing a short farewell tour of some of our favorite cities in the spring. Dates will be announced soon.
We love you all and we will see you in the spring!
