About this Event
Charlie Macksey, author of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, the Horse, and The Storm, gently reminds us that, “One day you’ll look back and realize how hard it was and just how well you did.”
Teenagers and a parent are warmly invited to join The Station Foundation for a meaningful afternoon centered on mindfulness, reflection, and connection. Together, teens and parents will read and discuss The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, The Horse, and The Storm, exploring how its themes speak to navigating life's challenges, both individually and as a family.
Through open-ended questions and guided conversation, participants will be encouraged to listen deeply, share honestly, and gain a greater understanding of one another's perspectives. This shared experience is designed to foster empathy, strengthen communication, and create space for intentional connection.
Following the discussion, the group will practice gentle yoga and enjoy a calming nature walk (weather permitting), offering time to slow down, reset, and be present together.
Each family will receive a copy of The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, The Horse, and The Storm.
Participants are invited to stay for light refreshments and relaxed conversation with other parents and teens who understand the unique rhythm of SOF life.
