Interwoven: Slow Flow Yoga & “Live Like a Flower” Floral Workshop

Special Operations Forces Spouses are invited to join The Station Foundation for Interwoven: Slow Flow Yoga & “Live Like a Flower” Floral Workshop. Following a slow-flow yoga practice that gently pairs poses with guided breathwork, participants will continue their mindfulness experience by learning principles of basic bouquet-making with fresh-cut flowers and greenery. Each unique bouquet will be handcrafted to your liking and style.

Behavioral research confirms the mental health benefits of living with flowers. According to the Home Ecology of Flowers study at Harvard University, research suggests that people feel more compassionate towards others, have less worry and anxiety, and feel less depressed when fresh-cut flowers are present in the home. The sight and smell of the natural beauty of flowers put individuals at ease.

When we choose to “live like a flower,” we bloom and live life to the fullest. Just as flowers need sunlight, people need positivity to grow and thrive. Spending time in authentic community with other SOF spouses strengthens one’s roots. With healthy perspective-taking, we choose to reframe our thoughts and be grateful for rainy days. Following this mindfulness workshop, participants will leave feeling refreshed and empowered.

Please bring a yoga mat, journal, pen, and water.
Lunch will be provided.

Please invite a friend within the Special Operations Community who is new to The Station.

This is a first come first serve event with a maximum capacity of 12 Special Operations Forces Spouses. We kindly request a cancellation notice no less than 72 hours before the event. Thank you for your consideration.
