About this Event

Interwoven: Mommy and Me Creative Time

Special Operations Forces Mothers and Children are invited to spend the morning with The Station Foundation to experience connection through creation and the magic of art. Our host has thoughtfully selected projects for both kids and moms to enjoy that will promote mindfulness. Join us as we teach children the essentials of mindfulness and engage in a little creative expression.

Art has shown to encourage self-expression and regulation not only in adults but also in children. Creative expression serves as an excellent constructive outlet for big and complicated feelings that are hard to name by children. Art creates a space for children to process their feelings and possibly be more objective about their thoughts on a certain subject. It allows them to express an emotion in a way that is not constricted by words.

We hope that this activity will help bring clarity to their minds but also connect them with other children that share the lifestyle of SOF warrior children and all the challenges that come along with it.

Each child must be 5 years of age or younger.

You will claim ONE ( 1 ) ticket per family. You will be prompted to enter the number of children attending, their name and age.

Additional Info:

Come dressed in casual, easy to move in, "play"clothing.
No experience is necessary.

This is a first come first serve event with a maximum capacity of 6 families.
