Interwoven: Mommy and Me Yoga and Kids Book Club - Trying
Special Operations Forces Families are invited to join The Station's Mommy and Me Yoga Session and Kid’s Book Club. Families will discuss mindfulness, notice both the simplicity and also the power of one’s breath as an ever-present tool, stretch together, and discover how these mindfulness practices can help us throughout each and every day.
Our storybook hour features Trying for families with children (best suited but not limited to preschool through fifth grade). The benefits of storytime are not limited to cognitive development but are rather much deeper. Reading together has a monumental impact on social, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive development. It strengthens relationships, encourages healthy listening, and provides families with opportunities to discuss emotions and increase emotional fluency. Parents and children alike will benefit from this stress-reducing opportunity to connect and spend quality time together.
Written by New York Times best-selling author Kobi Yamada, this captivating book celebrates the way failure is just the beginning of the journey. With alluring black-and-white illustrations and a powerful message, this beautiful tale is about how failure has so much to offer--lessons that help us learn, grow, and discover all the amazing things we can do.

Event Details:
- Children must be 4 (four years old ) or older to participate. Please bring along older siblings as well if they desire to join even if they are in High School. We would love to have them. Yoga time with you or a sibling as well as a heartfelt story is well suited for all.
- Please bring a yoga mat if you have one.
- Bring a water bottle.
- No experience is necessary.
- Each family will leave with a copy of the book to take home.
- Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Additionally, please note that childcare is not available for this event, and children under the age of 4 (four) may not attend. Thank you for respecting this policy as it ensures a space free of distractions for the attendees.

Cancellations:
If you can no longer attend this event, we kindly ask that you let us know at least 72 hr prior to the event so we can accommodate a participant on the waitlist.
