Interwoven: Mad Hatter Tea Party for Dad and Me
Special Operations Forces Service Members are invited to join The Station Foundation for Interwoven's Mad Hatter Tea Party for Dad and Me, a thoughtfully designed morning experience celebrating connection, curiosity, and imaginative play.
During a curated brunch, fathers and children will enjoy meaningful one-on-one time that encourages quality conversation, creativity, and shared presence. This playful environment supports cognitive development while strengthening the emotional bond between parent and child.
Through this Interwoven program, participants will be introduced to strength-spotting, the practice of identifying and appreciating unique character strengths within themselves and family members. Strength spotting fosters gratitude and helps shift family dynamics away from negativity and complaint toward what renowned researcher Dr. John Gottman calls Positive Sentiment Override. Positive Sentiment Override occurs when families intentionally "hunt for the good" in one another, replacing negative bias with compassion, understanding, and trust.
New to Interwoven events with The Station? Welcome! Please note that our Director of Outreach, Jamie Dockiewicz, will be in contact with you to share our mission and confirm your Special Operations Forces affiliation.
