Interwoven: Archery - Family Connection Event
Special Operations Forces Families are invited to spend the morning with The Station Foundation to experience stillness while working with a bow and arrow at The Archery School of the Rockies workshop. Archery is used by many as a form of meditation and inward exploration. It can help increase your focus, self awareness, self esteem, emotional awareness, and emotional control. Studies have shown that archery has a positive effect on decreasing the symptoms of stress by focusing on breathwork and letting the shooting just happen. This workshop is created with the purpose of creating an atmosphere for connection, quality time and playful conversations between you and your child/ children.
Each child must be 5 years of age or older and attentive to instructions.
You will only claim ONE ( 1 ) ticket per family. You will be prompted to enter the number of adults attending as well as the number of your child/ children's name and age. Upon arrival on location, you will be asked to complete an additional waiver for yourself and your child/ children.
9:45-10:00 AM - Arrival and signing waivers
10:00-12:00 PM - Workshop and family connection
12:00-12:30 PM - Discussion and Connection Time ( to-go lunch hand out)
Weather permitting you can enjoy your lunch at your favorite outdoor space as a family picnic while continuing a meaningful connection time.
Additional Info:
- Come dressed in casual, easy to move in, "play"clothing.
- No experience is necessary.
- Boxed lunches will be provided immediately after the workshop.
This is a first come first serve event with a maximum capacity of 40 participants.
