Info: Willem-Frederik Metzelaar is Regional Director Innovation Hub West at EIT Urban Mobility, where he oversees activities across the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Luxembourg. He works at the intersection of mobility, infrastructure, data and investment.

He will address the strategic role of payment and transaction systems in urban mobility. From road pricing and MaaS to interoperable ticketing and data-driven infrastructure, payment architecture is not a technical afterthought — it is a fundamental building block of the mobility transition.
