About this Exploration
Ever wondered what fascinating marine life you might discover on Singapore's shores? Join us for a relaxed evening walk at Changi's sandy shores and uncover the secrets of this unique ecosystem! We will explore the sandy shores to spot its sea-tizens and learn about the remarkable creatures and habitats that thrive here. It is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and good people, gaining appreciation of the biodiversity in our environment. Come and explore the wonders of life at the interidal zone with us!
Note: Donate-as-you-wish fees will go to Zoee our ecologist guide to support her efforts to raise awareness of biodiversity in singapore.
Is the trail challenging?
It's easy trail that takes roughly 2 hours, mostly on sandy shores at the intertidal zone.
Why walk/hike?
The physical activity of moving forward (especially in a natural environment) as we talk helps us open our minds and break thinking patterns. It allows fluidity for people to move around, provides environmental stimulus to ignite our sense of wonder and allows time for people to be present for each other in the journey.
What to bring: Water, Raincoat/Umbrella and Insect Repellant. You're also encouraged to bring curiousity, inclusivity and kindness :)
Attire: Covered shoes, comfortable wear for sandy shores which are wet.
Note: Only limited tickets are available to keep group size manageable. You are welcome to invite family members or friends and sign up for them too.
Organisers:
This walk is co-organised by Hui Hong and Zoee. Hui Hong has much of her life exploring ways to apply innovation and an entrepreneurial approach for problems worth solving across varied contexts. she started Venturing Humans as a project to develop a community of purpose driven individuals who can support each other in their journeys and provide a regular watering hole for people to re-connect with humans and nature. Zoee is an ecologist who conduct surveys around the forests of Singapore for her work. Outside of work, she can still be found in the forests exploring nature and deepening her connection to this earth, as well as conducting guided walks for others to feel more connected to nature as well.
