Ada Zanella (ella) es Gerente del Drop-In Center y Encargada de Community Advocacy en Sojourner House en Providence, Rhode Island. Con más de 17 años de experiencia apoyando a sobrevivientes de violencia doméstica, Ada está profundamente comprometida con el empoderamiento de individuos y familias mientras reconstruyen sus vidas.
Nacida y criada en la República Dominicana, Ada aporta una fuerte comprensión cultural a su trabajo con comunidades inmigrantes y de habla hispana. Apoya a sobrevivientes en el desarrollo de planes de seguridad y en la conexión con recursos esenciales como vivienda, apoyo legal y servicios comunitarios.
Ada también facilita grupos de apoyo en español para sobrevivientes, creando espacios seguros y de empoderamiento donde las participantes pueden compartir sus experiencias, fortalecer su resiliencia y avanzar en su proceso de sanación. Está apasionada por la educación comunitaria, el empoderamiento de sobrevivientes y el apoyo culturalmente sensible.

Presenter Biographies:
Ada Zanella (she/her) is the Drop-In Center Manager & Community Advocacy at Sojourner House in Providence, Rhode Island. With over 17 years of experience supporting survivors of domestic violence, Ada is deeply committed to empowering individuals and families as they rebuild their lives.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, Ada brings strong cultural understanding to her work with immigrant and Spanish-speaking communities. She helps survivors navigate safety planning and connect with essential resources such as housing, legal advocacy, and community services.
Ada also facilitates Spanish-language support groups for survivors, creating safe and empowering spaces where participants can share their experiences, build resilience, and find healing. She is passionate about community education, survivor empowerment, and culturally responsive support.
Katheryn Segura Arroyo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the only bilingual clinical therapist at Sojourner House, where she works as a Housing Stabilization Clinical Therapist. She has spent her career supporting children, families, and adults in hospitals and the community, always approaching her work with trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity. With specialized training in EMDR and DBT, Katheryn is passionate about helping clients heal, build stability, and access the resources they need to thrive.
