About this Event

Klasey Consulting is partnering with Lincoln Families to bring this training Interpersonal Effectiveness and distress Tolerace Skills to Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras providers. Many system-involved youth and young adults struggle interpersonally. Given that trauma impacts one’s relationships it makes sense that system-involved youth can struggle to understand, build and maintain relationships. This training will equip you with the skills and knowledge to increase system-involved youth’s interpersonal relationships.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to identify at least one challenge system-involved youth encounter with interpersonal relationships

Participants will be able to identify one skills to teach system-involved youth and young adults about boundaries in relationships

Participants will be able to identify one skills to teach system-involved youth and young adults about communication in relationships

Please note that in order to register for these FREE trainings your organization must directly work with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Caregivers, including resource families, who serve youth in the above-mentioned counties are also eligible. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible and will not receive the zoom link.

Dr. Kwonta Phatiphong is a registered psychological associate with 6 years of counseling experience in clinical and social service settings. She has experience in working with clients struggling with  trauma and crisis, substance abuse, learning disabilities, homelessness, and low and high functioning client populations. She is trained in substance abuse, Seeking Safety, TF-CBT, Motivational Interview, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Trauma Resiliency Model, and psychological assessments.
