International Workers' Memorial Day, held in April every year, brings together workers and their representatives from all over the world to remember the dead and fight for the living.
This years’ focus will be on our right to safety at work. Workers still die at work because of unsafe practices while more are left with life changing conditions. Many, many more are negatively affected by their experience of workplaces that place a higher value on profit than on safety.
We have rights at work but we need unions organised in our workplaces in order to enforce them. You can find out about your rights below - and where you can join a union.
