Join us all month long celebrating the voice behind female musicians in and around our community!Kristi Ormand is a singer-songwriter and recording artist based out of Charlotte, NC. She is the lead singer/owner of the band StellaRising formed in 2009. You will find multiple blends of genres in her music -whether it's originals or covers. StellaRising has released three EP's "Motion", "Karma", and the third was self titled. They returned to the studio in March of 2025 and have been releasing new singles.
In August of 2025, both StellaRising and Kristi were nominees for Queen City Nerve's Best of Charlotte as Best Indie Rock Band and Best Solo Performer.
