International Women's Day - Plymouth's Powerful Women

Following the success of this event a few years ago, we’re delighted to invite you to join us once again for the Plymouth’s Powerful Women Trail.

This initiative highlights 13 sites connected to remarkable women who lived or worked in the area. It celebrates over 100 years of influential women who made a real difference – pushing boundaries, improving living conditions, promoting social justice, and creating educational opportunities for others. At each location, there will be a short talk sharing the story and significance behind the site.

Following the walk, we’ll head to Boston Tea Party for a light breakfast at around 9:30am and an opportunity to catch up with everyone.

We know our timing is a little later than the official date, but we’re still keen to mark the occasion. International Women’s Day takes place on 8th March, and this event on 27th March is our way of celebrating and recognising the incredible contributions of women connected to our city.
