Join us for an inspiring International Women’s Day lunch overlooking the bay at the beautiful Ranelagh Club, as we come together to celebrate women, community and the power of giving back.
Hosted by Mornington Peninsula Magazine and The Payton Foundation, in collaboration with Frankston Business Chamber and Wild Women in Business, this special afternoon brings together local businesswomen, creatives and community leaders for connection, conversation and impact.
The event will open with a powerful performance by African drummers, setting the tone for a meaningful afternoon of storytelling and reflection.

Corrie Perkin
Journalist, Author, Podcaster & Founding Director, Sorrento Writers Festival
An award-winning journalist, author and podcaster, Corrie Perkin is a strong advocate for the power of storytelling to inform, connect and create change. She has worked across The Age, Good Weekend, The Australian and ABC Radio, and is co-host of Don’t Shoot the Messenger. As Founding Director of the Sorrento Writers Festival and its Literacy Fund, Corrie champions literacy and access to opportunity, empowering voices that strengthen communities and future generations.
Alice Achan (Founder, CEO & Ugandan Chair, Te-Kworo Foundation)
Stella Okot (Program Manager – Education, Te-Kworo Foundation)
Driven by lived experience, Alice and Stella have dedicated their lives to ensuring girls and young women in northern Uganda can access education, dignity and opportunity. Through education-led, community-based programs, Te-Kworo supports girls returning from conflict and young motherhood, creating long-term pathways to rebuild lives and futures.
Guests will enjoy canapés, drinks on arrival and a seated lunch, followed by an intimate in-conversation discussion exploring this year’s IWD theme Give to Gain and what it means to create impact through education, storytelling and community.
The afternoon will also include:
