About the MTB Ride: For those of you who join us for the MTB ride, expect a fun mountain bike ride of 5-6 miles and 400 feet of elevation gain at Lula Lake's beautiful Core Preserve. This ride is considered moderately difficult and will have intermediate to advanced terrain. This route combines long climbs, technical rock gardens, and fast singletrack. No rider will be left behind! We will hike down to the base of the famous 110 foot Lula Falls after the ride is complete.
About the Hike: For the ladies that preferred to hike, you will be enjoying a mild hike of about 4-5 miles, starting by the climb up to the bluff to take in the incredible views of the Chattanooga Valley, then will hike down to the base of the famous 110 foot Lula Falls.
Who are the Velo Vixens: The Velo Vixens are a women's specific multi-sport club. Their goal is to bring together women who love the outdoors, sports, friendships and a bit of competition. They look to create a safe space for all ladies from all levels from beginners to advanced.
Date: Sunday, March 16th, 2025
Time: Please show up no later than 9:15am ET. The gate will open at 9:00 am ET for this private event and the group will start the ride/hike promptly at 9:30 am. The gate will be closed at 9:20 am, so make sure to arrive early!
To Register: Pay what you can donation goes directly to Lula Lake Land Trust's conservation efforts. Please either check the mountain bike or hike option.
Important Details
- This is private property and we have permission to ride on this day only. All participants must leave the property at the end of the ride.
- Bring: your own mountain bike and helmet if you're going on the ride, sturdy hiking shoes or boots if you're going on the hike, plenty of water, and snacks. Also consider bug spray, ivy block (if you’re allergic to poison ivy), and appropriate Medic*tion/an Epipen for anyone allergic to bee stings.
