About this Event
Born in 1920, Dr Franklin is most famous for her work on finding the structure of DNA alongside James Watson, Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins - but this is just part of her story! Franklin's incredible career spans countries and disciplines, from helping to develop more effective gas masks during the war, to some of the first work exploring the structure of viruses.
In this session you will hear Rosalind's story and create a mini Rosalind-inspired cross-stitch to take away. All materials are provided, as well as refreshments and a wooden hoop to mount and display your finished work. This workshop is suitable for beginners, no previous experience necessary. Children over 9 years old are welcome to join, but must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
There is a choice of three colours for Rosalind's dress and name - a dark green, an aqua blue and a dusty pink. You can select your colour choice at checkout.
